In “The Defector,” I took on the roles of Art Director, Motion Graphic Designer, and VFX Art Director. This feature and TV documentary chronicles the perilous escape of Sook-Ja and Yong-hee from North Korea, under the guidance of Dragon, a broker aiding North Korean defectors. Filmed covertly by Korean-Canadian filmmaker Ann Shin, the film offers a gripping portrayal of their journey, shedding light on the broader human rights issues faced by many North Koreans.

- Motion Graphics: Developed compelling motion graphics to enhance the storytelling.
- VFX Supervision: Designed and oversaw visual effects to amplify the tension and realism of the escape scenes.
